If you live on The Mornington Peninsula and you want to know how often you should have your gutters cleaned, then this brief post will tell you exactly how long you can go between gutter cleans…

Here’s what you need to know…

The truth is, in most cases, no matter where you live on the Mornington Peninsula, you should clean your gutters at least once every 12 months…

I should know…

I’ve been cleaning gutters across the Mornington Peninsula suburbs for the last 6 years…

The thing is, each suburb on the Peninsula is so varied that it would be wrong to just recommend the once a year clean and leave it at that…

So, how about we go through some of the different suburbs on The Mornington Peninsula and I’ll make a recommendation based on my experience cleaning gutters in each area…

Ok, how about we start with…

How often should you have your gutters cleaned in Mornington?

Well, Mornington is a curious case…

If you have a business in Main street, and you don’t have any bird netting on your roof, then you’ll want to be getting your gutters cleaned at least every six months…

Those seagulls make a huge mess and clog the gutters up pretty badly…

Kinda like this…

On second thought…

I’m not going to punish you by subjecting you to such monstrosities that is the seagull waste land festering above your heads as you blissfully stroll down Main Street Mornington…

The horrors that I’ve witnessed on Main Street..

I’ve seen bird nests and bird poop block up gutters and cause leaking right into the middle of some shops…

The point is, the last thing you want is for your business to close due to flood damage…

So for you, I recommend getting your gutters cleaned at least every 6 months…

Now, if you have a home in Mornington, well you can usually stick with the once a year gutter clean…

In most cases that is…

See, this picture below is a box gutter that is filled to the brim with gum leaves…

This house is in Mornington, right across from Fishermans Beach

There are great big gum trees that overhang the neighbour’s house but they’re close enough to fill these box gutters and litter their entire roof…

If you’re in a situation where you’ve got gum trees, you’ll need to get your gutters cleaned at least every 6 months…

Ok, how about we take a look at Rosebud…

How often should you clean your gutters if you live in Rosebud?

If you live in Rosebud and you’re in the Jetty Road and Eastbourne Rd area then you can also get your gutters cleaned every 12 months…

That area closer to the beach is pretty clear from trees so you won’t get too much of a build up in your gutters…

But, if you live around Waterfall Gully Road Cafe, then you should be getting your gutters cleaned at least every 6 months…

I have a few homeowners in this area who have been hit with flood damage to their homes due to a build up in their gutters…

The sad truth is that the insurance companies won’t cover it if your gutters are filled with leaves…

Anyway, how about we take a look at Red Hill…

If you live in Red Hill this is how often you should clean them…

I clean a lot of gutters in Red Hill and I mean A LOT…

Anywhere from The Red Hill Garden and Farm Supplies to Red Hill Consolidated

And 9 times out of 10, they need to be cleaned every 6 months…

And in some cases, I’ll even clean them every 3 to 4 months…

The thing is, most homes in Red Hill are on tank water and if you let the debris build up in your gutters, you’ll be drinking dirty water…

Plus, because there’s so many trees in your area, your gutters will clog up very quickly and cause a leak hazzard…

Here’s some box gutters that I clean every three months in Red HIll…

This is what happen if you don’t clean your gutters often
This is what happen if you don’t clean your gutters often

See how much debris is in there?

That’s why I recommend getting your gutters cleaned every 3 to 6 months if you’re in Red Hill…

Ok, how about we take a look at Portsea and Sorrento…

Like most Mornington Peninsula suburbs, gutters in Sorrento and Portsea will only need to be cleaned once or twice per year…

This part of the Mornington Peninsula can be very leafy in sections but, generally the gutters I clean in Sorrento and Portsea only need to be cleaned every 6 to 12 months…

I clean the gutters on this house every 6 months…

Before cleaning gutters

This house has large trees that overhang the roof line…

In all honesty, these gutters in Sorrento should be cleaned every 3 months…

You shouldn’t be waiting for your gutters to be spilling over before you get them cleaned…

But, you also have to be willing to pay the money for something that you don’t get to see and something that you won’t see the benefit of…

If your gutters never overflow and flood back into your ceiling then it’s hard to justify cleaning your gutters every couple of months…

But, if your ceiling does flood, you’ll instantly see the benefit of clean gutters…

Cleaning your gutters is like paying for insurance…

Anyway, enough about that…

Just so you know, I do get them completely clean…

Check this out…

After cleaning gutters

The thing is, I clean quite a few homes in Portsea and Sorrento and half of them need a 6 month clean, while the other half can go 12 months between gutter cleans…

I also clean the gutters on a few of the shops through Sorrento Village and in all honesty, they usually only need to be cleaned every 12 months

Let’s take a look at Rye…

How often should you clean your gutters in Rye?

I’ve found that if you have a home in Rye, you’ll need to clean your gutters every 3 to 6 months…

There’s just so many trees in Rye…

I’m on a regular gutter cleaning schedule with so many homes in Rye that I know that you shouldn’t go past 6 months without cleaning your gutters…

I clean these gutters in Rye every 3 months…

Now you may be tempted to install gutter guards but the truth is, you’ll still need to clean your gutters every 6 months even with gutter guards installed…

That’s something that the gutter guard installers won’t tell you when they take your money…

You need to spray through the top of the gutter guards every 6 months before the dirt build up is too thick…

Otherwise you’ll end up with this type of situation…

Do with that what you will…

How about we go down the other end of the Peninsula and take a look at Mount Eliza…

You should clean your gutters in Mount Eliza every 6 to 12 months…

This is a pretty standard gutter cleaning schedule for the Mornington Peninsula…

Some parts are leafy, like Mount Eiza, so they should be cleaned every year at least…

But, more often than not, gutters in Mount Eliza should be cleaned every 6 months…

See these gutters here…

These are some gutters that I clean near Toorak College

And that build up is only after 3 months…

But every 3 months, I get it back to looking like this…

See, the thing to realise about the Mornington Peninsula is that it is so varied that at a minimum, you should be prepared to clean your gutters every 12 months…

If you want to know how much it’ll cost to get your gutter cleaned every 12 months, check out thorough but extremely fun guide on gutter cleaning costs on The Mornington Peninsula

With that said, I’ve actually started offering a more regular service that is a fraction of the price but it stops your gutters from ever being full.

Which means, no risk of flooding back into your home, no mold spreading through your ceiling, and more importantly, no dealing with insurance agencies…

Do you wanna know what this special service is??

Do you want me to tell you how to get your gutters cleaned for a fraction of the price??

Ha? Do ya??

Ok, let me break it down for you…

Introducing the Gutter Cleaning Maintenance Schedule to slash the cost of gutter cleaning and eliminate the risk of flood damage…

See, if I come back every 3 months to clean your gutters, I can blow out all of the leaves and such that fall into your gutters, and I can flush your down pipes with a semi-pressure hose to make sure they’re flowing properly, well and truly before they get blocked up…

And because I do them every 3 months, I can get them done so quickly that I can afford to charge but a fraction of what it would normally cost…

For example…

If your gutter clean costs $550 then the maintenance schedule would cost ….???????????

So you don’t get stung with the one off expense…

See, most people don’t get their gutters cleaned because they have’t budgeted for that $550…

But if the clean is only $180 then it’s an easier pill to swallow…

Plus, you’ll never have to deal with an insurance company refusing to pay out on your flood damage because your gutters were half full…

I see it all the time…

If you have any type of debris sitting on your roof or gutters and the floods come in…

Let’s just say that THEY are in the business of NOT paying insurance where possible…

Capisce??

Ok, so that’s why I’m now offering my most fantabulous gutter cleaning maintenance schedule and it’s also why so many people are taking me up on the service…

If you want to get your piece of the pie, the first thing to do is to call or text me for a quote…

The first clean is the “Full Clean” and then we switch you over to the 3 monthly or quarterly cleans at the reduced price…

If you want to know exactly how much it’ll cost to clean your gutters, give me a call and I can tell you how much and often you need to have them done…
